Karen Callahan frequently gives presentations to small business groups. She has presented to international groups like Career Directors International, national groups like the National Association of Black Accountants, and local groups like the Women’s Bar Association in Worcester, MA, the Massachusetts Manufactured Housing Association, Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Marlborough Chapter of Rotary International.
Karen welcomes speaking engagements; in person and online, solo presentations and collaborative workshops, webinars and expert panels. The format is not as important as the opportunity to share what she has learned during her 21 years of working on the Internet.
Karen started her business when the Internet was in its infancy. She named her company “Adventures Online” as a result of working on the Internet in those early days. Every time she went to do something, the process had changed; forms had been replaced with emails, info was no longer located where it had been the day before. The Internet was growing, and everyday became an “Adventure on line”. She took poetic license and squished “on line” together, and chose Adventures Online for her company name. Now, armed with 21 years of Internet experience, she practices her gift of teaching by presenting to small business groups, near and far. Karen has prepared popular topics, and, upon request, is happy to present a customized topic to your organization.
Public Webinar Series Started in March 2018
Most recently, Karen has been collaborating with Maura Webster, Founder and CEO of LillaBlu Strategies in Marlborough, MA. The Harnessing Online Overwhelm (HOO) series is for those busy entrepreneurs who have fallen behind, stopped altogether, or haven’t even started with their website and social media profiles and engagement because they feel the “overwhelm” of it all.
The first series of four webinars completed in mid-June. Maura and Karen are putting the final touches on their two-day intensive coming in September.
