Karen Callahan frequently gives presentations to small business groups. She has presented to international groups like Career Directors International, national groups like the National Association of Black Accountants, and local groups like the Women’s Bar Association in Worcester, MA, the Massachusetts Manufactured Housing Association, Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Marlborough Chapter of Rotary International.
Karen welcomes speaking engagements; in person and online, solo presentations and collaborative workshops, webinars and expert panels. The format is not as important as the opportunity to share what she has learned during her 21 years of working on the Internet.
Karen started her business when the Internet was in its infancy. She named her company “Adventures Online” as a result of working on the Internet in those early days. Every time she went to do something, the process had changed; forms had been replaced with emails, info was no longer located where it had been the day before. The Internet was growing, and everyday became an “Adventure on line”. She took poetic license and squished “on line” together, and chose Adventures Online for her company name. Now, armed with 23 years of Internet experience, she practices her gift of teaching by presenting to small business groups, near and far. Karen has prepared popular topics, and, upon request, is happy to present a customized topic to your organization.
In 2019 and early 2020 Karen presented a workshop entitled, WP SEO Boot Camp. WP SEO Boot Camp had been developed by Karen during 2018-2019. The half-day workshop was run several times until the Covid-19 Stay in Place order was enacted. This in-person workshop has been converted to a 7-module online course. The do-it-at-your-own-pace course, now entitled, Create your Simple Sustainable SEO System, is offered through Karen-Callahan.com. Karen would be delighted to present this topic to your networking group or employees.
In early 2018, Karen collaborated with Maura Webster, Founder and CEO of LillaBlu Strategies in Marlborough, MA. Maura and Karen developed and presented a series of webinars (Harnessing Online Overwhelm (HOO)) to help busy entrepreneurs cut through the muck, get clear, get focused, and move forward with confidence using their social media accounts and websites to advance their businesses and attract their target audience.
